So I gotta lomo with the La Sardina right? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
While the first roll was not a great one. But heck, these are memories from Taiwan. The first "test" roll was 100 ISO film and I really underestimated the amount of exposure needed being too used to higher ISO films like 200 and 400 which I'd usually overexpose. Out of habit I did not set stronger flash settings! But lesson learnt. Roll 2 and 3 here I come!
Awesome light leak! Haha. This one is taken by Dingdong from Taiwan! He's now one of my favourite photographers to watch. Check out his blog at www.dingdong161.com. This is also the virgin shot on the virgin roll for El Capitan with the red flash filter!
We met Dingdong at the Love is Blind exhibition at the Lomography store during our trip. We'll share more about that soon once the travelogue for Day 3 is out! :)
With new Taiwanese friend, Irene from Lomography Taiwan! She really gave us a warm warm welcome when we visited the lovely Lomo store at Da'an, Taipei.
And this is my attempt at capturing a portrait of Dingdong, who is such a joy to be around. He has such an enthusiasm for life and for Lomography.
He really gets it! While he's a really good photographer with the techniques and skills, he doesn't have any airs and cracks loads of jokes. That's what I love about Lomo - it's that non-aggressive, friendly community spirit. Lomography lovers just offer a helping hand without an overly critical attitude.
A portrait of Rachie as we waited for our chicken salad near Luxy... As you can tell, I'm a portrait kinda person. I love flashing people. :) Hehe.
On our way back from the Lomo store before heading to Room18 on Day 3, but we'll blog more about that later.
Goodie, I just got done with Roll 2 and I'm still kinda experimenting and figuring the camera out. I met with a minor boo-boo at first. The shutter got stuck but I managed to find a way around that. Hope the photos still manage to turn out. Hope there's something interesting in Roll 2.
Love,
Carrie

Hi Boobert!
ReplyDeleteHeh great you had fun taking a look at this post. The new camera is on loan for three weeks! But it's been a good time with my new friend the La Sardina.
YES! <3 Lomography and snapping pics are twice as much fun with friends than without!
Checking out the awesome shots at your Lomohome btw! :)
